Advice-Only Financial Advisor

Meet Alex Ammar, CFP®
CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™

Advice-Only Financial Advisor

As a second-generation American, I feel a strong drive to repay my parents for the sacrifices they made to give my brother and I the opportunities they never had. Seeing how hard my parents worked to provide for our family, I became fascinated with all things personal finance at an early age. I named my firm “Paradox” because, despite the fact that financial health is one of the most important things in life, financial education is almost entirely neglected!

My passion and curiosity led me to pursue and receive a Bachelor’s in Finance from the University of Florida. From there, I embarked on a nearly decade-long journey as a traditional financial advisor. Along with an amazing team of individuals at Merrill, I worked hard to act in my client’s best interest every step of the way, yet I knew I couldn’t offer my most advanced solutions. The traditional assets-under-management model of financial advising just didn’t allow for the in-depth, no-stone-left-unturned approach I was looking for.

All of that changed when I discovered the model of the advice-only financial advisor, which puts financial planning front and center. My goal is to educate and empower you to achieve your goals, not to manage as many of your assets as possible. This way, you can rest assured that I am incentivized to do what I believe will work best for you, not what will earn me the most fees.

We’ll go over everything that contributes to your unique financial picture (that includes things like early retirement strategies, real estate, and familial obligations, to name a few). Along the way, I’ll teach you as much as you want to learn so that you can make informed decisions for yourself moving forward. Financial planning has been my life’s passion, and I’m so grateful to serve my clients. As a fiduciary and a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, I am committed to creating holistic, sophisticated plans for my clients so they can become financially independent.

Advice-Only Planning Approach

The Process

STEP ONE

Introduce

A quick video call to find out if we’re a good fit.

The purpose is to get to know you and your family, understand your top priorities, and your expectations of a financial planning engagement. During the call, I will provide examples of what working with me looks like.

This session will help me determine if advice-only financial planning fits your personal requirements or if it may be appropriate to refer you to other financial advisors in my network.

STEP TWO

Understand

Once all of your financial information has been gathered and organized using our secure platform, our next meeting is scheduled.

In the meeting, we will review the accuracy of the compiled data, discuss your personal financial objectives, and agree upon the assumptions to be used for the financial plan.

This will give us an understanding of where you are currently and where you’d like to go.

STEP THREE

Plan

All of your collected financial information is carefully analyzed and evaluated to discover opportunities to create elegant strategies and solutions that align with your personal goals.

This in-depth analysis culminates in a clear plan, with an emphasis on education and actionable insights.

STEP FOUR

Present

During the final video call, I will present the results of our financial analysis categorized by topic, as well as planning suggestions and a clear action plan.

You will leave with a complete understanding of your current financial situation and know exactly how your new plan aligns with your goals and priorities.

STEP FIVE

Implement

After the conclusion of the plan presentation call, we will keep in touch to answer any questions and ensure you have full confidence and clarity as you put the financial planning suggestions into practice.

After completing the three-month comprehensive planning process, you have the option to keep your plan up-to-date on an ongoing basis.

Having an advice-only financial planner by your side can ensure that you make informed decisions as your plan evolves over time.
